Financial Aid is available to all prospective and currently enrolled students who qualify and enroll in an approved career training program. Research for scholarships can be completed on-line at www.fastweb.com or www.finaid.org.
Students will be evaluated a minimum of two times yearly for satisfactory academic progress. Students who are receiving scholarships and awards must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress according to the Financial Aid Policies and Procedures provided at time of enrollment. These policies are independent of individual program standards of progress. Students receiving the Pell Grant must meet these minimum requirements to be eligible for payment.

Once your FAFSA has been successfully submitted, it will take 3-5 days to process and for the Financial Aid office to be able to see your FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR). Log on to your FAFSA account and check your SAR for errors and/or required verifications. Please have all verification documents with you. Email LTCFinAid@leonschools.net if you have questions. Fill Out and Submit Your FAFSA
STEPS TO COMPLETE YOUR FAFSA
Gather financial documents such as a Social Security number, Federal income tax returns, W-2s, Bank statements and records of any investments, records of any untaxed income
Click on the white “Log In” button. Enter your FSA ID
Choose which FAFSA form you would like to complete. 2022-2023 FAFSA form if you will be attending college between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2023.
Create a save key. This is a temporary password that will let you (a) return to the application later if you don’t complete it right away, and (b) share your application with your parent.

Follow the instructions carefully. If you are not able to use the IRS DATA Retrieval Tool (DRT) you will have to provide a signed copy of your 2019 Tax Transcript.
You should receive an email within the hour stating that your FAFSA was successfully submitted. After you receive a second email from FAFSA stating that you have a SAR, log back into FAFSA and check your SAR for corrections and verification. This usually take 3–5 days to receive.

If you are under 24 and your parent’s information is required, it is easy for your parent to start your FAFSA and you sign and submit it after your parent has signed and submitted it. (Both student and parents signature is required.)
If you filled out a 2019-20 FAFSA, much of your information will be carried forward from last year. Review that information and update it as needed.
Your income and tax information won’t be carried over, but you can easily transfer the information from the IRS in the “Financial Information” section. Just select that you’ve “Already completed” taxes, then click “Link To IRS.”
Once you are done entering all your information, be sure to sign and submit the form. You aren’t done until you reach the “Confirmation Page,” which you should read carefully and save for your records.
