Diesel Systems Technician 1

Lively Tech’s Diesel Technology program is a state of the art training facility offering a program at a fraction of the cost of other programs. Lively’s purpose is to teach the student the theory and hands-on application of the diesel/heavy truck repair industry.  We train the student through intense classroom instruction; individual study and practical advanced troubleshooting technology.  Our graduates can be employed nationwide in the diesel/heavy truck industry, building a career doing something they love. There are many careers within the diesel/heavy truck industry and the demands are growing daily.

Program Overview

Lively Technical College’s Diesel Systems Technician 1 program prepares students for entry into the diesel service industry. Students study maintaining and repairing diesel engines and electrical systems; reconditioning diesel fuel injection systems; overhauling diesel engines; and performing diesel engine preventive maintenance, general electrical systems, batteries, starting, charging, lighting, gauges, warning devices, and related electrical system diagnostics, service, and repair, engine, cylinder head, valve train, engine block, lubrication, cooling, air induction, exhaust, fuel, and engine brakes diagnostics, service, and repair.

Program Admission Requirements

  • AGE: 16 years or older
  • BASIC SKILLS LEVEL: Computations (Math) 9.0 & Communications (Reading & Language Arts) 9.0
  • Or meet other basic skill requirements
  • Valid driver’s license required for all students
