The engines have cooled, the trophies have been awarded, and another successful community tradition is in the books. Lively Technical College proudly hosted its 8th Annual Show & Shine Car Show on Saturday, March 7, 2026—bringing together car enthusiasts, families, students, and community partners for a high-energy celebration of automotive craftsmanship and education. This year’s event drew over 130 entries, featuring an impressive lineup of vehicles ranging from timeless classics to modern performance cars and custom trucks. The campus was filled with gleaming chrome, roaring engines, and proud owners eager to share their passion. Guests enjoyed a family-friendly atmosphere while exploring a diverse collection of vehicles that highlighted both heritage and innovation in the automotive world.

One of the most unique aspects of the Show & Shine Car Show is its focus on student engagement. LTC Automotive students served as judges, carefully evaluating each entry using official scorecards. Awards for Best in Show Car and Best in Show Truck were presented during the event, showcasing not only the vehicles but also the students’ growing expertise and hands-on training.
The event was a full-campus effort, demonstrating the strength of career and technical education at Lively. Attendees were treated to delicious food prepared by LTC’s Culinary Program, while the Welding Program contributed to event support—highlighting the real-world skills students develop across disciplines.

In addition, visitors had the opportunity to tour Lively’s Automotive and Diesel shops, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the state-of-the-art labs, dedicated instructors, and career pathways available to students. The Show & Shine Car Show continues to be more than just an automotive event—it’s a bridge between education and community. As shared by instructor Kenny Adams:
