Digital Design 1

Program Overview

The Digital Design Program offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare students for employment in digital publishing positions. The content includes enhanced practical experiences in computer generated art and text, graphic design, graphic production, electronic design skills, preparation of electronic layouts and illustrations, and electronic scanning; and development of specialized skills in multimedia presentations. This program focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following elements of the digital publishing industry: planning; management; finance; technical and production skills; underlying principles of technology and design.

The Digital Design 1 Program is delivered through a hybrid learning model:
Programs that are offered through a HYBRID delivery model combine face-to-face classroom instruction with online learning activities. During classroom instruction time, students can be engaged in authentic, collaborativeย learningย experiences. The online components may include multimedia-enhanced content and channels for ongoing discussion. Students enrolled in a course that is delivered through a hybrid delivery model are encouraged to have computer and internet access at home.

BASIC SKILLS LEVEL: Computations (Math) 9.0 & Communications (Reading & Language Arts) 9.0

    Each of Lively Technical College workforce training programs prepares students to pursue industry-recognized certifications that validate the knowledge and competencies taught through textbooks and hands-on training. There may certification exam fees not covered in program fees.

    Lively Technical College offers a wide range of scholarships including, need-based scholarships for students who demonstrate financial need, and specialized scholarships or specific fields of study.
