Program Overview

Commercial Photography Technology I will introduce students to the business skills and contemporary practices of the freelance, studio and fine art photographer. This course concentrates on the operations of the digital SLR, maximizing photographic effects through a variety of lenses, exposure to different types of photographic equipment and caring for photographic equipment. Students will learn post capture editing processes and workflow through Adobe Lightroom CC and Adobe Photoshop CC. Additionally students will explore compositional techniques, color theory, digital printing techniques, how to speak about photography through peer review, practice client communication skills and custom framing skills.

*Basic computer skills are strongly encouraged
