Lively Technical College is fortunate to have supportive partnerships in place with local businesses. A great example of a supportive partnership is with Culpepper Construction. Prior to the beginning of the 2026-27 school year, Culpepper Construction sponsored through a generous donation, work boots for the new students in the Building Trades Fall 2026 class. Students were allowed to go to another local business, Carroll’s Boot Country on Capital Circle NW to pick out their new work boots. The boots were OSHA-compliant work boots (ankle-height with a steel toe) valued at up to $200. This donation has made a tremendous difference for our students to have the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary to enter the workforce.

Lisa Tjaden, Marketing Coordinator for Culpepper Construction, said that “we are pleased to sponsor work boots for the new students in the Building Trades Fall 2026 class”. She further stated that “we are proud to support Lively Technical College and invest in the next generation of skilled construction professionals. We look forward to helping equip these students as they begin their careers.”

In addition to the generous donation of safety boots, Culpepper Construction has allowed several of our classes in Construction and Electricity to tour many of their job sites to provide a close up view of an active jobsite.  Lively Technical College looks forward to the continued partnership with Culpepper Construction in the future.
