Motorcycle Course

Lively Technical College is a licensed affiliate of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles and of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF). This entitles us to administer the mandatory basic motorcycle rider’s course for license on behalf of the State of Florida. All classes are taught by a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Certified Training Coach.

Program Overview

Motorcycle Rider Training Course

Classes held every Saturday and Sunday from 7 am – 4 pm.

Required riding gear:

  • DOT approved helmet with full face shield —we will loan you a helmet if needed
  • Full fingered gloves – no exposed skin
  • Long sleeve shirt or jacket—no exposed skin
  • Long pants or jeans- no exposed skin
  • Sturdy boots or shoes that cover the ankle – flat sole or limited heel

Optional Riding Gear

  • Rain gear / NO PONCHOS
  • Sunscreen
  • Snacks
  • Soda/water

Note: This course is of great value to beginners and experienced riders alike and required to obtain your Motorcycle Endorsement on your Driver’s License.  Motorcycling may not be for everyone. Instructors reserve the right to dismiss a student if the course objectives are not being met.

We offer small classes that are held each Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 4pm , unless otherwise posted. The cost of the course is $250 and is due at time of registration. You may register Monday -Thursday 8am to 4pm. We accept cash, debit/credit cards, money orders or cashier checks for payment. Test/Retest:   Participants are required to pass a written portion and skills portion test to obtain their motorcycle endorsement. If you do not pass one portion, either the written or skills portion, of the test you may retake that portion up to two times. The cost for retaking a portion of the test is $75 and due at time of registration.  If you do not pass either portion of the test, you will have to re-register at the full amount of $250.

Refund Policy: Lively Technical College does not issue refunds unless the course has been cancelled.
