Program Content / Objectives

The Network Support Services Program offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare students for employment in Network Support Services positions. Network Support Services/NetPrep provides the student with an in-depth understanding of the theory, hardware, and software of computer networking. Students gain a thorough understanding of the basic principles of networking and a working knowledge of a wide variety of protocols and manufacturer solutions. Network Support Services Program offers a broad, vendor-neutral foundation of knowledge and skills including computer literacy, software application support, basic hardware configuration and troubleshooting, network technologies, security, and administration.

This program is designed to prepare students for employment as a Data Communication Analyst, Wireless Network Administrator, Senior Network Administrator, Network Support Specialist, Network Support Help Desk, Computer Support Assistant, and Information Technology Assistant.

After completion of the first four NetPrep courses, the student is eligible to test for the National Association of Communication Systems Engineers (NACSE) Associate Network Specialist certification and/or the CompTia Network+Certification.

The student may test for the NACSE Senior Network Specialist Certification after completing the program.
