Program Content / Objectives

Students receive a broad foundation of instruction in the traditional duties of a Bookkeeper or Accounting Assistant.

Graduates are prepared for initial employment as an Accounting Assistant, Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, Information Technology Assistant. Persons previously or currently employed in this field will benefit from the additional training available through participation in this program.

The curriculum includes:

Double-entry accounting principles
methods of recording business transactions
preparation and analysis of financial documents
payroll records and tax forms
accounting control systems
supervised externship.
