Franke McClellan, a Lively Cosmetology graduate who works at Artisan’s Spa and Salon came by to teach the senior cosmetology students some new tricks. The students wanted to see him perform some new color techniques, so he showed them a way to intermingle various colors on the head on Cosmetology student, Shala Mills. He also shared his valuable knowledge and expertise concerning how to begin a career as a new stylist in Tallahassee. Franke has been one of our business partners for the past two years and was a former student of Ms. Sciara, the senior instructor. |

Lively Technical Center Cosmetology |
Lively Cosmetology was excited to welcome the Executive Director of the Florida Board of Cosmetology, Robin Barineau. to the Lively campus for an informational session offered by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Ms. Barineau gave students an overview of the processes involved in registering for the Cosmetology Exam, gave some pertinent information about the licensing procedure and gave an update on the changes that are being made to help facilitate faster exam and licensure turnarounds. She also showed students how to access online information using the instructor, Kathy Sciara, as an example of how to find current license information such as current status of the license. There was an audible gasp when the students saw that Ms. Sciara has been licensed for thirty years in the state of Florida as a cosmetologist!
