Our Beliefs:

  • Each individual is unique and has dignity and worth.
  • All individuals must be given the right to choose an endeavor and to receive training consistent with their interest, aptitudes, and abilities.
  • Occupational competency must include development of general educational abilities, interpersonal relationships, and occupational capabilities.
  • Technological advances of a changing workforce require a curriculum that is current and tailored for individualized / independent instruction.
  • Each person is given the opportunity to contribute to the general welfare of our society and to develop individually as fully as possible through the educational experience that Lively offers.
  • Families should be actively involved in and contribute to their student’s education.
  • Curriculum and occupational instruction should be designed to optimize and support varying learning styles and accomplish student, community, industry and institutional goals.
  • The commitment to continuous improvement is imperative if our school is going to enable students to become confident, self-directed, lifelong learners.
  • Teachers, staff, and administrators share a commitment to maximize opportunities for students, by providing a sound curriculum supported by evolving research and survey methods; with the active participation of the school’s workforce partners.
